The 25th session of the Conference of the Parties will be held in Brazil in 2019.

This was one of the outcomes of the 23rd COP plenary in Bonn, Germany.

The Presidency of COP25 will come from the Latin American and Caribbean States.

A host country agreement is expected to be finalized and signed no later than the starting of COP24 in Poland next year.

The UNFCCC is expected to provide Brazil with technical support and guidance on policies and requirements.
