COMPOL holds several bilateral meetings in China

Police Commissioner, Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho, who is currently in China has held several bilateral meetings with public security institutions.

Brigadier General Qiliho also had the opportunity to view the latest technologies that could assist policing operations in Fiji.

The Police Force has a close working relationship with China’s Public Security Ministry and the visit has enabled the Commissioner to see various provinces and police institutions.

With training for officers high on the Commissioner’s priorities list, Qiliho was able to visit the Jiangshu Police Academy before holding talks with the Deputy Mayor.

A visit to the Nanjin Police also gave the Commissioner and his delegates a chance to witness how officers were able to police the busy streets from their highly equipped command center.

The Commissioner also had the opportunity to witness the latest in drone technology used to assist in police operations.

He had earlier stated the plans to acquire drones to boost the capacity and efficiency of the Force to fight crime.
