The wages and salaries for all civil servants have been paid in advance.

Permanent Secretary for Finance Shiri Gounder says civil servants can now access their pay from midday today.

Gounder says this includes both established salary staff and government wage earners.

The Finance PS says during this time of disaster, everyone is advised to take precautions, remain vigilant and stay safe.
