Chinese Government committed to support Fiji

The new Chinese Ambassador has vowed his support to the Government saying they will maintain the strong relationship between the two nations.

During the Chinese New Year celebration at the China Cultural Centre Ambassador in Suva, Qian Bo says they are committed to support developing countries.

He says one of the countries they have shown great commitment to Fiji.

“We are willing to work with our Fiji partners, Fiji friends work together to achieve common development.”

Over the years, the two countries have shared not only bilateral ties but engaged in cultural exchanges as well.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Rosy Akbar called on everyone that was part of the celebration to embrace the uniqueness of one’s culture.

“Today, I would like to encourage each of us here to continue with the culture of unity and peace and also promote acceptance for each other and in our own religious beliefs. Celebrate your common goals more than your differences. Celebrations such as the one we witnessing today provides opportunity for us to embrace the uniqueness of each cultures and nurture everlasting friendship and bonding.”

According to the Chinese Zodiac, this year is the Year of the Dogs.
