China’s support to Fiji’s development is once again being acknowledged by Women’s Minister Mereseini Vuniwaqa who says Fiji will never look back.

As the local Chinese community marks the Moon Festival, Vuniwaqa says such a celebration is an excellent opportunity for intercultural exchange and understanding.

“We are proud to say that Fiji has only grown upwards in terms of development since we took out national matters in our own hands and we have absolutely no desire to look back. We have been lucky to have our friends like the Government of People’s Republic of China that has supported us and helped us in many ways by lending us a hand whilst letting us determine our own destiny.”
