The growth of a particular business depends on the capability of individuals in the workforce.
Speaking at the 19th Fiji Excellence in Business Awards in Nadi last night, President ,Major Gen (Ret’d) Joji Konrote, said by working together individuals can help raise performance and productivity of a business to greater heights.
“An organisation can only become more productive through continuous upgrading of knowledge, skills, discipline and attitude of their workforce. Our people are our most important resource and so as our businesses grow, we also have to develop and harness our workforce capabilities and capacity along with it.”
Konrote says the theme for the awards night “Raising Productivity for Sustainability” is a great platform for businesses to gauge their performance.
Eleven businesses received the Commitment in Business Excellence Awards, five businesses received the Achievement in Business Excellence awards and the Fiji Business Excellence Price went to eight businesses.
