Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has urged bus operators to come up with innovative ideas to lift the standard of the bus industry.

Sayed-Khaiyum says there is a great need for more collaboration between operators and government.

He says more dialogue will be the key to move forward.

“You need to be able to understand what your market is, if you have a bus that got wifi on it and you have another bus that is next to you that does not have wifi on it and at the same fare or five cents more, who do you think the young person will go into”

However, Sayed-Khaiyum says government has always provided bus operators with opportunities to grow and they will ensure that best services are provided to Fijians.
