Burger King opens second outlet

World renowned eatery Burger King has opened its doors to the Fijian public in Nadi today.

The $6.5m investment by the Motibhai Group of companies is the second of its kind, the first being its $2m outlet at the Nadi International Airport Departure lounge.

Motibhai Group Chairman Kirit Patel says the multi-million dollar investment is indicative of the confidence local based companies have in the government and the booming economy.

“Because of the stability, the platform laid by government earlier and now after the 2014 General Elections, which still continues, we see our group playing a very pivotal and lead role.”

Burger King’s third outlet will be opened at the Nadi International Airport arrivals concourse and Patel says the group is looking 200 new employees joining the workforce.

There are also plans for three Burger King outlets in Suva before the end of the year.

One hundred and fourty students of Nadi Special School were part of the Martintar Shop.
