The Fiji Building Design Association during the special General Meeting yesterday proposed amendments to their constitution.

The changes are being looked at to allow the association to meet the local needs.

Association President, Shailendra Mudliar says the modification of the old constitution will enable the members to carry out more activities.

“It was modified just to get registration under the industrial act as an association to quickly counter some unwanted action which would have restricted us from lodging plans and practicing as a designing firm.”

Meanwhile, the President adds they will be conducting workshops and seminars at the Fiji National University to educate students on the opportunities which are available in the building and design industry.
