Due to a shortage of blood supply in the last few days, the Ministry of Health is requesting individuals in the Suva subdivision to consider blood donations at the CWM blood bank.

Medical Superintendent of the CWM hospital Dr Jemesa Tudravu has appealed to the public for blood donations to assist patients requiring urgent blood transfusions.

Tudravu says the Blood unit at the Ministry usually conducts blood drives but sometimes the demand is high and they need immediate donations to cater for the need.

He says people can visit the blood unit at the CWM Hospital where they will be assisted by the staff for their donations.
