Australia has doubled its aid to Fiji.
From next month AusAID will increase its allocation from thirty four million Fiji dollars to sixty seven million dollars.
Director General Peter Baxter made the announcement this morning while touring the Lami Health Centre.
He says the funding will help Fiji’s most vulnerable communities.
The money will support Fiji’s Health Ministry by strengthening primary health services and increase child immunisation.
It’ll also be used by the Ministry of Education to increase the number of children attending and staying in school.
180 schools will benefit over the next four years.
