A recent meeting of the Association of the Southeast Asian Nations has heard of Fiji’s progress towards elections.

The ASEAN Regional Forum held in Cambodia has welcomed Fiji’s steps towards holding elections in 2012.

They are now urging continued engagement between Fiji and the Pacific Islands Forum, the Commonwealth and the United Nations.

The ASEAN Regional Forum is a key forum for security dialogue in Asia.
