The ANZ Bank will be largely financing some major tourism projects that will be constructed over the next year.

Country Head, Saud Minam says they committed to supporting the development of the tourism sector in Fiji.

Minam says Fiji Economic Outlook report showed the strength of the tourism sector has a multiplier effect on growth across the economy.

“So I think there are a few big projects are coming up and we will make sure that we continue to support the large projects as well as the right projects for ANZ Bank – which will help us not deliver the number one position in the tourism sector but also at the same time provide the convenience and growth opportunity for Fiji as well.”

Minam says as tourism demand and revenue grows, facilities will improve and capacity will need to increase to cater for demand.

He adds therefore, there’s already a healthy pipeline of tourism-related projects due for roll out or completion over the next two years.
