20-year-old Meni Raitekiteki who has been charged for allegedly raping a 74-year-old woman in Nasinu appeared before Judge Justice Vinsent Perera at the Suva High Court yesterday.

Raitekiteki who is also charged for aggravated burglary and theft has been further remanded in custody.

The State sought time from the Court to file Information and Disclosures.

The State also informed the Court that there is a likelihood that there will be more counts filed in the High Court than was filed in the Magistrates’ Court.

The matter has been adjourned to 9 October 2015 for the same.

Raitekiteki committed the offences in August this year.
