A thorough investigation has been ordered by the Police Commissioner to be conducted in regards to alleged misconduct of officer’s part of Operation Cavuraka.
Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho says he is aware of the photos being circulated on social media showing the alleged misconduct of officers during a marijuana farm raid.
He has assured the public that a thorough investigation will be carried out to determine what took place.
The Police Commissioner adds that he had stressed about the need to respect the rights of suspects during an earlier visit to an operation team in Keiyasi, Navosa.
However, he adds that officers will be dealt with accordingly if any reports indicate otherwise.
Brigadier General Qiliho says he will not condone any of his officers abusing their powers and necessary disciplinary action will be taken against those who do.
