Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has assured Land Owners of the country that the Land Bank has no threat over the ownership of their land in the country.
Sayed-Khaiyum made this statement after saying that the discussions of Land Bank have been maligned by many.
Sayed-Khaiyum has stated that Landowners will maintain full ownership of their land.
‘’It has in fact no threat absolutely no threat whatsoever to any land ownership or any landowner or any landowning unit’’.
Sayed-Khaiyum says Land Bank has been set up to provide opportunities for various land owning units to be able to participate in the economic landscape of the country.
He says the 2013 constitution guarantees land ownership for all iTaukei landowners and the government will ensure that this is protected.
