The 52nd Asian Development Bank annual board of Governors meeting is also an opportunity to reflect.
ADB’s Director General Pacific Carmela Locksin says as much as the deliberations will be focused on what can be done in the future, the gathering of delegates from all 68 member countries is an opportunity to review how far the partnerships have come.
“The annual meeting provides a forum, an exchange such as these for all of us to discuss and nurture these aspirations and goals. But at the same time it is a chance for us to pause and reflect on and celebrate the great strides we’ve been able to make together.”
Meanwhile as part of the ADB’s increased support in the Pacific, they are also stepping up their physical presence with the establishment of country offices in each of their 11 member countries from the region.
