Fifty-four percent of the total child abuse cases reported in Fiji is sex crimes.

Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism Faiyaz Koya yesterday reiterated the words of the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama that authorities have zero tolerance on crimes against children.

Koya says parents should be responsible to ensure their children are safe at all times.

The Minister urged parents to be more vigilant during the festive season.
