3 tertiary students arrested for alleged stabbing

Three tertiary students are in Police custody for allegedly stabbing a taxi driver early yesterday morning.

It is alleged one of the students in the said taxi picked up two other of his colleagues at Grantham Road and asked the driver to take them to Suva Point.

At Beach Road, in Suva Point, the driver was stabbed on the head and both wrists by one of the students’ who was sitting behind him while he was also assaulted by another student sitting next to him.

The driver in the midst of the all this drove his taxi to the security booth at the USP Lower Campus at Statham Street where he was helped by the security officer.

The taxi driver is admitted at the CWM Hospital awaiting surgery whilst police investigations continue.
