22 barristers and solicitors have been admitted to the bar today and will now be able to practice at Fiji’s courts.

Speaking at the swearing in ceremony Chief Justice, Anthony Gates encouraged the barristers and solicitors to carry on the hard work.

Money is necessary to live but your knowledge and familiarity with court work, ethics and how a professional office should operate are invaluable. Keep therefore investing in knowledge.

The Chief Justice says they need to appreciate the needs of all Fijians while serving them.

He says they need to choose to work at a place where they will learn more about legal practice.
