A 20-year-old unemployed man who is alleged to have raped a 74 year old elderly woman of Nasinu appeared in the Suva High Court today.

Meni Raitekiteki is charged with one count of rape, one count of giving false information to a police officer on duty, one count of burglary and one count of theft.

Legal Aid counsel is expected to prepare voir-dire grounds in two weeks time.

The case will be called for mention on the 18th of January, 2016.
