12 people have been taken in for questioning by Police after they were allegedly threatening to close the Savura dam in Colo-i-Suva earlier today.

Police Chief of Operations ACP Maretino Qiolevu says the group were interrogated along the lines of unlawful assembly and illegal trespass.

The group were also showing their protest live on social media as they were seen holding cardboards which shows their disagreement.

Qiolevu says there are legal avenues to be followed when raising grievances and people must not take the law into their own hands.
