A 10 year old is the latest to die on our roads.

The incident occurred along Queens Road in Korovuto Nadi this morning.

Police say the child was attempting to cross the road to catch a bus when he got hit by a light goods truck heading from the opposite direction.

The child was rushed to the Nadi Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are currently questioning the driver of the truck.

The road death toll stands at 7 compared to 9 for the same period last year.
