The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) has rolled out phase 1 of its Taxpayer Online Services (TPOS) system.

Chief Executive Visvanath Das says this is a $48 million transformation project, with the support of specialist partner Invenio Solutions.

Services now available online include Environment and Climate Adaptation Levy, Fringe Benefit Tax, Service Turnover Tax (STT), Telecommunications Levy, Value Added Tax (VAT), Joint Electronic Identification card/TIN card application and New Tax Identification Number (TIN) registration.

Customers can register, file tax returns and make online payments for all of these services.

Das says the new online system introduces an up-to-date online standard in Fiji where tax services will be made accessible, ensures a higher level of voluntary compliance and enhanced customer experience.

Users must complete the online registration and collect a code from any FRCS office in order to use the online portal.
