Crushing at the Labasa Sugar Mill will cease on December 3rd.
The decision was made by the Sugar Industry Tribunal after consultation with the Sugar Cane Growers Council and the Fiji Sugar Corporation.
The tribunal is now requesting all growers and gangs in Labasa to make every effort to harvest all cane and deliver to the mill before December 3rd.

The Labasa Sugar Mill started crushing for the 2019 season on June 12th, the first of the mills to do so.
