The parents of 22 year old Peceli Yato cried tears of joy when their son was named in the Vodafone Flying Fijians run-on side to face the Wallabies tomorrow.

Speaking from their home in Waicoba in Nadroga, Yato’s proud mother, Unaisi Senibitu says her son sent her a message on Facebook straight after the team naming.

She says tears streamed down her face as she ran to convey the message to her husband.

The mother of five adds watching her son played for the country in the game against England was something that she will cherish forever, even though they lost the match.

Senibitu says it was always Yato’s dream to don the national jumper in a Rugby World Cup.

The Flying Fijians will clash with the Wallabies at 3:45am tomorrow at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

In other games tomorrow, giant-killers Japan take on Scotland at 1:30am while France battles Romania at 7am.

You can watch the World Cup live on FBC TV and a live radio commentary of Fiji’s games will air on Bula FM and Radio Fiji One.
