Former national weightlifting champion Manueli Tulo

Former national weightlifting champion Manueli Tulo will represent Vanuatu in the not too distant future.

Tulo has paternal links to Vanuatu and is currently coaching their national team for the Pacific Games.

“I was born in Fiji and my heart is in Fiji, its sad but its something that I want to do in the future I know that they’ve approached me. It’s a new journey for me I was supposed to compete here for Vanuatu, I know that I could have been their first gold medal.”

The 28-year-old who trains at the ‘Jungle Gym’ at Baba Village says he was supposed to represent Vanuatu at this Pacific Games but it didn’t eventuate.

Tulo is confident he will represent Vanuatu soon.
