Pyrros Dimos, a three times Olympic Gold medalist

Greece’s most decorated athlete and USA Junior Weightlifting Head Coach Pyrros Dimos applauded Fiji’s success in hosting the IWF Junior Weightlifting Championship.

Dimos who is also a three times Olympic Gold medalist told FBC Sports he hopes more competition will be played in Fiji.

“The level of competition is great, the level of organization is great. We are happy and we hope for Fiji to have more competition in the future.”

With three days remaining before the conclusion of the championship, Dimos is confident that they will pocket more medals.

They have 20 Weightlifters competing and currently has 10 medals.

The IWF International Junior Weightlifting Championship is currently underway at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva.
