Wardens Gold wins Nawaka 7s

The Wardens Gold side has claimed the Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s title after defeating Army Green 33-19 in a pulsating final at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

National extended squad member, Kitione Taliga played a vital role for the Wardens side.

Wardens Gold led 19-12 at the breather and displayed superior fitness to beat their opponents.

Wardens Gold became $10,000 richer for winning the title.

Meanwhile Vodafone Fiji 7s coach, Ben Ryan who was present at the tournament over the past two days has selected an 18-member squad to prepare for the final two tournaments in the World Sevens Series in Scotland and England.

Rugged Army forward, Aminiasi Nava is the lone new face in the squad, while Tabadamu’s Sitiveni Waqa has been recalled into the national fold.
