Tailevu covers all bases

July 31, 2012 12:58 am

The Tailevu rugby team is not as confident as a team should be following an unbeaten record in the Digicel Cup this season.

Coach, Lance Whippy says instead, their cautious attitude before each game is the reason behind their success.

“There are a number of factors to look at. Naitasiri did question us on a few occassions on the field last week and we just need to ensure we cover all the bases to ensure we keep doing what we do well.”

Whippy adds all they aimed for this year was to better their position from last year.

Reaching the semi-finals has done just that.

Meanwhile, there will be catch up games to complete this weekend – Nadroga plays Macuata at Subrail Park while Suva hosts Rewa at Albert Park on Saturday at 3pm.
