Tournament favorites Eiffel Ruggers went down to a stronger Mua Knights side in the last quarterfinal match of the cup competition the Radradra 7s.

The Waisea Nacuqu captained side included the likes of oversea based players in The Bus Josaia Tuisova, Semi Radradra, Former NZ rugby rep George Tinsy, the Sledgehammer Eroni Sau, and current national reps Antonia Nabuli, Jerry Tuwai and Alusio Naduva.

But their fancy footwork, ball handling skills and experience on the field didn’t help the side as they went down 14- 12.

The Mua Knights knights side consists mainly of players from the Yamacia Club.

In the other cup quarter final matches, First Light Taveuni thrashed Vunikura 35 -0 to book a semi-final spot.

Kadavu’s Nakaiolo Brothers bowed out of their match against Army LFC 12 – 7.

And, Veilomani Combo won against Taveuni Orchid 12 -7 to also book a spot in the semis.

The first semi final match will be between Army LFC and Veilomani Combo.

The second match will see First Light Taveuni taking on Mua Knights.
