For the first time, a Fiji under 18 sevens team will be participating in the World School Sevens Rugby.

Fiji under 18 sevens side had their scrimmage session yesterday at Bidesi grounds gearing up for the tournament.

Powerhouse forward Vuate Karawalevu says the team is focused on the mental fitness of the team.

“We’ve gone through a lot and we hope that the boys will go home this weekend and try to prepare themselves mentally. Come back next week hopefully we’ll reach where we want to reach.”

Fiji is pooled with Samoa Barbarians, Two Blues Sydney, Vanuatu, New Zealand Fijians, Tongan Barbarians, Sydney Pasifikaand New Zealand Niue.

The World School Sevens Rugby tournament is scheduled on the 13^th and 14th of this month in Auckland, New Zealand.
