Fijiana 15’s coach Alivereti Doviverata says they have already mapped out a plan to ensure they defeat the New Zealand Development side.

The Fijiana 15s face the New Zealand Development side this afternoon in an Oceania Rugby Championship match.

Doviverata says the initial reason for the New Zealand side participating in the tournament is so that competition intensifies.

He agrees their inclusion will indeed give the Pacific teams a tough time.

“Over the years we were just playing with the Pacific teams. But for them, New Zealand and Australia coming and sending their development side across I think it will boost the performance of the girls and see where we have come from playing the Pacific teams to playing the Oceania teams now that Australia and New Zealand have come in.”

Fiji will face the New Zealand development side at 4pm today at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
