Fiji swimming rep, Rosemarie Rova came close to breaking a 21 year old national record while competing in the Pacific School Games in Adelaide, Australia yesterday.

The Nadi Barracudas swimmer clocked 1 minute 7.97 seconds in the Under-13 100 meters Butterfly event, just missing out on the record time set by former swimming champion, Caroline Pickering in the 1995 South Pacific Games of 1 minute 7.06 seconds.

Head of Team Fiji contingent, Jennifer Liew says the swimmers are doing well and are clocking personal best times and even improving their times.
