Former Flying Fijians centre, Sireli Naqelevuki, is counting on the national side to cause some upsets at the Rugby World Cup in England next month.

The 34-year-old was impressed with Fiji’s performance during the Pacific Nations Cup.

Naqelevuki says the team has the capability to pull through the World Cup ‘Pool of Death’ against the hosts, Australia, Wales and Uruguay.

“Yes they are going to play some hard teams but I think that since they did it in 2007, they can also do it again this year. They can beat England at home. So they’ve got a good challenge ahead.”

The Flying Fijians extended squad will march into camp in Suva this afternoon and coach, John McKee will name his final 31-member World Cup squad next week.
