Lautoka beats Nadi in the VPL

The Lautoka football side has extended its lead with 21 points after beating Nadi 3-2 in the Vodafone Premier League match at Churchill Park.

Blues striker Samuela Drudru scored first for the side before Napolioni Qasevakatini equalized for Nadi as both teams rested one all at the halftime.

Lanky striker Rusiate Matarerega gave Nadi the lead in the second spell.

Lautoka’s Zibraaz Sahib and Mohammed Shazil then scored two quick goals and sealed the win at home.

In the other match at Ratu Cakobau Park, Rewa beat Suva 2-nil.

Rewa’s Sairusi Nalaubu got a goal while Suva defender Filipe Bravilala scored an own goal in the first half.

Looking at the VPL table, Lautoka sits on top with 21 points, Suva in second place with 16 points while Rewa moves up to third place with 13 points.
