Jurgensen's cricket development to continue

October 30, 2015 12:53 am

Cricket Fiji has applauded the work of outgoing coach Shane Jurgensen.

Chief Executive Inoke Lesuma says he has done a lot for the sport in the country and they will continue with the development plans that Jurgensen has put in place.

“The lucky thing is that we have got these young players with him in the High Performance Unit. These are the players that will carry us forward in the next 10 years. There has been a lot of hard work and we will just carry on after he leaves.”

Jurgensen resigned earlier this week and is bound for a coaching role in Bangladesh.

His last official engagement with Cricket Fiji will be guiding the national Under-19 boy’s side to the Cricket Under-19 World Cup in January, also in Bangladesh.
