Flying Fijians march back into wet Suva camp

August 17, 2015 12:58 am

The Vodafone Flying Fijians training squad for the Rugby World Cup has started their most crucial week of preparations in Suva this morning.

Players and officials didn’t have it all their way this morning with the wet Suva weather, and being the week when the 31 players are named for the World Cup, it is going to get even tougher.

Flying Fijians coach John McKee says he was happy with what he saw this morning.

“Out here in the wet I mean at least the rain has held off a bit this morning not as heavy as it was overnight. Good to see the enthusiasm the players have come back with today. I was very pleased with the energy in the session. They have had a good gym session and now a session on defence on the field. So great starts to this week and we will continue this afternoon.”

The 31-member team for the World Cup will be named on Friday night in Suva.
