Young aspiring boxers in the Western division can now further their career in the sport when the Western branch of the Fiji Amateur Boxing Association opens in Nadi next month.
The branch will cater for the whole of the division and prepare fighters for the season.
Western Amateur Boxing Vice President, Faiyaz Ali says after the Wild West and Westwood Boxing promotions last year, they have identified a lot of talents.
“Our plans are to get all the youths out and do lots and lots of promotion here in Nadi where we can dig out the raw talents and then we select our team as I’ve said before and then send them to Suva as the final selection will be by FABA and we think there are hundreds of fighters out there who are looking for this kind of chance.”
The Western Amateur Boxing Association branch is expected to open in Nadi Town early next month.
