Business house tourney to promote bowling

The Suva Business House Bowling competition will be a platform to uplift the standard of the sport in the country when it begins this afternoon.

Games Committee Chairman, Samuela Tukiligana says most of the veterans will be participating in the event and at the same time they will assist in coaching newcomers about the basics.

He adds they have sent out invitations to every business house with 16 teams confirmed to participate.

Tukiligana says their main motive is to attract more members of the public to participate in the sport.

Meanwhile, prizes will be split into three categories with the cup winners to walk away with $450, plate winners with $300 and bowl winners with $180.

The business house competition will begin at 5.30pm at the Suva Bowling Club.
