The Ba football side has started it Courts Inter District Championship campaign on a winning note, after beating Nadroga 2-0 in Nadi this afternoon.

Josefata Neibuli scored the opening goal in the Pool B match before veteran defender; Malakai Tiwa added another before halftime.

In the other match today, a 10-man Nadi side played to a 1-all draw against Lautoka.

Napolioni Qasevakatini scored a opening goal for Nadi in the 36th minute and the hosts looked to have the game in the bag until Lautoka’s Alvin Avinesh found the back of the net in the dying stages of the match to level the scores.

Nadi’s Lekima Gonerau was red-carded after receiving two yellow cards during the match.

The tournament will resume on Wednesday at Govind Park in Ba.
