Athletics Fiji to meet on Ravana Junior

Athletics Fiji will meet tomorrow to decide on the assistance that would be provided to the late Roy Ravana Junior’s family.

The former Marist Brothers High School athlete was shot dead by the unknown assailant’s yesterday morning in United States.

Athletics Fiji president Jo Rodan Senior says they would be visiting his family to give the condolence.

“Once we should have a plan in place on what we should be doing to his family naturally we will go to the funeral and visit his family. We are having our athlete meeting on Thursday and this topic will be discussed in more details. Like I said Roy was a great athlete and he was one of our children and he was one of the person whom we really up to and was hoping he would do wonders in future but unfortunately his life has been cut short and taken away.”

Junior was also the part of the squad preparing for the Commonwealth Games and the 2015 Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea.
