Wheel of justice must continue: Justice Salesi Temo

“If people are men enough to commit aggravated robbery than they should be men enough to come to the court”

Those were the words of Suva High court Judge Justice Salesi Temo as two men charged with one count each of aggravated robbery failed to turn up in court today

Justice Temo said that the wheel of justice must continue.

Asesela Naureure and Moape Rokoraicebe allegedly robbed a taxi driver on 24th November 2016 in Kasavu.

It’s alleged they hired a taxi and asked the driver to take them to Kasavu and upon reaching there they robbed the taxi driver of his taxi, cash and mobile phones.

It is alleged that threw the driver in the back seat and drove off to Rakiraki where the taxi got involved in an accident.

The two will be trialed in absentia. The trial starts on 21st of this month.

A bench warrant has been issued against the two.
