The two day Lautoka market business fair has been hailed a success.

UNDP Project Assistant Catherine Heritage says the vendors have commended them for bringing together financial, agricultural and social services and their service providers.

Market Vendor Emily Koronaquruwale says this was a big help for them as many of them would not have time to visit these offices.

“Before we would have to leave our stall behind and run to the bank or even for LICI or BSP Lite for insurance and we would have to spend half an hour with but im really glad the UNDP has provided such things like this”

Vice President of the Lautoka Market Vendors Association Virendra Prasad says that this was important as the vendors need to be upskilled and also understand the services that is being provided.

The Market Fair and other training activities with the vendors were conducted by UNDP in partnership with the local governments and other relevant stakeholder.
