The Lands Ministry is currently processing two applications on land in the Land Bank to be returned to landowners.
Lands Permanent Secretary Malakai Finau says the return of these lands is at the consent of the landowners.
Finau says this applies to all land held in the Land Bank as it can be given back to owners and government has no right over it.
“So we are processing two lands at the moment, with the view of the landowners that they have requested if it could be returned for other users that they have intended.”
There are currently ninety one parcels of land in the land bank and the Ministry have leased fifty one percent of it.
