A high level of transparency is vital for local companies to dwell regionally and internationally.

Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum made these comments as he encouraged the Energy Fiji Limited staff to look into new innovations.

Sayed-Khaiyum says transparency is important for more development as EFL continues to develop strategies that will assist them in the future.

“Adherence to ensuring that we don’t have corruption, we have high level of transparency to be able to have a joint venture with a French company and get business interest outside of Fiji.”

EFL Board Chair, Daksesh Patel says coping with the evolving technologies will be a challenge for them.
