Training sessions like seminars and workshops that will be provided to the Fiji Institute of Quantity Surveyors will further boost a developing country like Fiji.
Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors representative, David Picken says the surveyors will be able to learn about international standards of quantity surveying.
“It will be a boost for the profession of quantity surveying in Fiji. It will help the institute to educate the clients that would be the Government and the private sector in how useful quantity surveyors can be to them in effectively managing their projects.”
Picken says the surveyors will also be able to prepare contract document, cost management of projects and contractual managing after they undergo training sessions.
The Australian counterpart will soon be providing professional training for surveyors in Fiji.
