Suva market opening hours extended

As the festive season approaches, the Suva market has extended its opening hours to cater to the demand of Fijians around the central division.

The extension of the opening hours is aimed at working people who don’t often have time during the day to buy vegetables and other products from the market.

Suva City Council’s acting chief executive Azam Khan says the market will open from 7am to 7pm from Monday to Thursday.

Similarly, the market will open from 6am to 8pm on Friday’s and Saturday’s compared to the normal 6am to 6pm opening hours.

The new opening hours are applicable to all sections including the fish market.
