Students raise issues during Education Conference

Tertiary students who attended the 20th Commonwealth Conference of Education Ministers and the Integrated Partnership Forum in Nadi says it’s very beneficial.

USP Student David John says it was a great idea to have students attend conference as it enabled them to raise issues in education that are affecting students.

“This is a very brilliant conference as it allows students views to be heard by the national policy makers and also education ministers. Our views will also be taken up to the Commonwealth level.”

FNU’s College of Medicine, Nursing and Health student President Abdul Shahid says they were satisfied their issues were submitted to the different heads of Commonwealth.

“This forum has been quite an interactive one and that all the stakeholders have come together to form ideas and new policies and it’s a very good platform for us youth’s to be part of this big event.”
