Members of the Standing Committee on Social Affairs engaged with their counterparts from the Standing Committee of Liaoning Provincial People’s Congress in China yesterday.
This is part of ongoing efforts to further enhance friendly bilateral parliamentary exchanges between the two countries.
Last year, some of the Fijian parliamentarians visited the Liaoning province to observe their best practices in terms of the implementation of their Heritage Law and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Law.
Standing Committee on Social Affairs Chair, Viam Pillay, welcomed the delegation and acknowledged the partnership shared by the two standing committees.
Liaoning Provincial People’s Congress vice chair Zhou Zhongxuan thanked the Fijian Parliament for its continued cooperation and says they were ready to assist Fiji in whichever way they could.
